Galaxy Medical Alert

Healthcare · Operations · Migration

Canadian medical alert provider with devices on the wrists of elderly patients. Replaced a 60-page Base44 dashboard with a focused 15-page operations platform on AWS — eliminating manual order entry, silent Stripe failures (one had run unpaid for 17 months), and untracked returns.

Challenge

Replace a 60-page AI-generated Base44 dashboard with a purpose-built operations platform. Auto-detect Stripe failures (one had run unpaid for 17 months), auto-cancel on returns, integrate Canada Post and FedEx tracking, and migrate to AWS infrastructure the client owns.

What we did
  1. 01Audited 60+ Base44 pages and retained only the 15 with real business value
  2. 02Rebuilt the backend on Node.js with MongoDB Atlas under the client's AWS account
  3. 03Wired the WooCommerce → AfterShip → Stripe webhook chain with proper failure handling
  4. 04Implemented auto-cancellation on Exception_011 (Returned to Sender) across carriers
  5. 05Stood up dev and production environments on AWS EC2 under the client's billing
Result

A focused operations platform replacing the unwieldy AI-generated dashboard. Silent Stripe failures auto-flagged, returns auto-cancelled, devices and subscribers tracked accurately. AWS account owned by Galaxy from day one.
